    Hi guys!

There are inconsistencies, such as the serifs of the ‘s’. It may be worth getting some font design feedback from the type boffins at…

    http://typophile.com/

    It has similarities to Souvenir…

Nice work guys! Although I would LOVE if you put in the extra effort and create the Norwegian/Nordic letters æ ø å or Æ Ø Å in capitals. It would be quite handy!

Hi there, just a quick question before i download, You mention that it is not best to use none system fonts on websites as users might not have the fonts on their system/browser….so is everyone just using these fonts on art stuff? image files? or are you all using it on your sites and bloggs? if so how? cheers

  • Matt says:

    godonholiday:

Generally, fonts like this are used in images. However, this is a rather nifty flash-based tool called sIFR that lets you use other fonts on your site. Link here: http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/sifr/

This is an excellent font, and I’ll certainly be using it a lot.

    Hey!
Great font! Unfortunately there are no umlauts in it (öäü) and ß.
This makes it impossible for me to use. Maybe you could add these characters?

    Keep up the good work!

  • jayse says:

very nice – I know firsthand what goes into making a none ‘crazy’ font and how hard it is to make something read nicely. this is beautiful. Love the ‘g’!

a question – do you hint your fonts? if so, have you found a way that doesn’t take months? ;-)

    Cheers!

Beautiful font!!! Would love to use it on my website, but the problem is, that I miss some specific symbols from czech alphabet. Could it be possible to add non-standard symbols, as ě š č ř ž ý á í é ú ů ??

  • Arlen says:

    @Jon

It is nowhere near the same as Souvenir. I’m afraid you may be looking for an argument for just the sake of argument. You need to look a little closer. I downloaded, both Nevin and this typeface, both of which you have made similar comments about, ad did an overlay comparisson and found no similarities. IF you want to find and critique typefaces of individuals who truly have copied other typefaces then I suggest that you check out some of the free download sites and make a stink with them.

  • Jenn says:

I think this is lovely, though it doesn’t display for body type nearly as well as header type. Otherwise, thank you so much for sharing it with us. It is a beautiful font for large type.

  • Shaun B. Jura says:

I am doing research on my family heritage, last name JURA. I stumbled upon this site. Any information anyone may contribute on anything JURA, especially “unpublished” personal stories(good or not as good), experiences not found on Google would be very much appreciated. I’m attempting to compile a “surprise” geneology/real-life stories/commentary about everything JURA hopefully for Christmas 2010! Thank you in advance for your help!

p.s. My father, Robert E. Jura, was a graphic designer/artist/inventor or sorts; retired now; unfortunately he recently had some health issues preventing him from recalling “most” of his past. That is why I am reaching out to you.
I wonder if my father for example may have actually created the JURA typeface, or is it the artist who created this site or another designer/artist?

    Sincerely, Shaun B. Jura
*Please feel free to contact me personally with your stories, thoughts, suggestions, etc. that may help me “accurately” and “efficiently” put together my family geneology. I have very little information to go on, so even the smallest detail that may seem insignificant will help me I’m sure.

  • Shaun B. Jura says:

Whoops! Forgot my contact info… if anyone has information regarding JURA family heritage please contact Shaun B. Jura on Yahoo! ID: ibeepositive2. When you contact me to verify you are “real” and not some type of “scammer”, please copy and paste both comments into the email you send. If for some reason these comments have been deleted by then, please include in the subject heading: JURA GENEOLOGY INFO. Again, thank you in advance for your help and assistance in this endeavor. With warm regards, Shaun B. Jura

  • Jean Camargo says:

    Nice type, Thanks.

    To use this type in Portuguese you will need add: á à â ã é í ó ô ú ü ç

  • pirateX says:

    Thanks, is a beauty.

  • Christie Bella says:

Bleh- I love all your typefaces, but unfortunately cannot download any of them :(

Every download link takes me to an “oops….blah blah blah….empty category” (or something along those lines) page. I realize that they were released, what, 2 yrs ago- but looking through the comments I see that many are quite recent- for example, the person above me (July 16th 2010). How the heck did that guy download the lovely Jura font, and I can’t?? Boo hoo. Jura is the 3rd typeface I’ve attempted to download, all leading to that same “opps…” error page- hopefully, maybe, it could possibly be looked into & hopefully, maybe, possibly fixed…? I’d love you forever! >w<
Take care! Thank you so much for your time & effort & lovely fonts!

  • Odomera says:

Nice typeface, sadly I need áéíóú and ñ too. But I agree with the comment above. We can’t download it directly…

    The download link:
    download.php?file=http%3A//www…
    should be:
    download.php?file=http://www….

    Please fix it :)

    Thanks!
